Saturday excursion to Kamakura, an hour and a half by train from Tokyo. The plan was to see the Fujisan from the coast, because it's the best time to see it. And, of course, to see again the many shrines, the streets full of people, shops and restaurants of all kinds. And last, but not least, enjoy the beatiful view of the sea with Enoshima and Fujisan in the background, as the sun sets.
Like any Japanese city it combines traditional architectural elements….
with elements of modern architecture.
Not to mention the religious elements, always present.
And finally, to make a classic structure, the cityscape shaped by the train, people, the street, the shops, to end by the sea, looking at the sun, Enoshima and, of course, the Fujisan.
